Sarah Longfield

I am a creative business and life coach.  I support individual artists and creative entrepreneurs who are forging their own business or freelance practice.  I also support managers and leaders in creative and cultural organisations.

I’ve a background in theatre and was Artistic Director of Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre for 12 years.  Since then I have been involved in the set up of several arts based social enterprises, and have supported numerous arts organisations with their strategy and engagement programmes.  Alongside my coaching practice I am also an arts consultant, a facilitator and a creative producer.

Coaching packages

I offer a range of coaching packages which all involve 5 coaching hours plus accountability check-ins in between.  I also have a Pay As You Go Option.  The packages are:

Turn the Volume up on Me - This is for you if you feel pulled in all directions with no time for yourself.  Let’s explore how you can increase the volume on yourself, shifting your priorities and ensuring you get to put your oxygen mask on before you help others.

Rewrite My Story - flipping the script on the stories you tell yourself which are holding you back.  We will explore your self worth, your values and your money mindset to create new narratives to tell yourself and others about who you are and what is important to you.

Mapping My Future - looking to make some changes in your life?  Whether it’s a career change, a broader life change or a combination, we can work together so you can gain clarity on where you want to get to, and build a robust plan of how to get there.

Design Your Own - a blank sheet of paper!  A completely open programme where you define what happens.

Facilitation and mentoring

I regularly provide training and facilitation for arts organisations and individuals on business strategy, collaboration and a range of coaching based topics around mindset.  As part of my coaching packages, I regularly offer one of my online courses for free - you just have to ask!  I also support creative businesses and entrepreneurs through business mentoring.

What it’ll feel like working with me

I bring enthusiasm, warmth and gentle challenge to our coaching sessions.  It is completely bespoke so I will shape your coaching journey entirely around where you want to get to in a way which works for you.

Testimonials

My life before coaching was stressful! I'd just quit my job and I wasn't completely sure of the direction my life was going to take. I had a vague idea about my 'calling' but wasn't sure how to make a start or turn it into a viable business…  During coaching, you helped me to believe in myself and to acknowledge that I'm more than capable of running a business and being successful. Suzy McCafferty, Radical Joy

I knew I needed to break some bad habits and I knew that in order do to that I would need help. Coaching seemed the answer and of all the coaches I looked at, I liked your outlook the best.

I realised that I actually knew what I needed to do, I had known it for some considerable time. I just had not asked myself the right questions and nor did I expect to know the answer. You asked me those questions and waited for me to answer. So I answered.

I am writing everyday, I have plans and a vision of how I want things to go. I am daring to dream and raring to go. Sara Allkins, Writer

I have made connections with people that I would never have dreamt about putting myself in front of. I have considered and acted upon ideas that have been swimming about my head for years.

Thanks to your support, encouragement and belief, I feel I can aim for what I want to happen in my career and have the resilience to understand that it might not happen right away, but can happen. Laura Lightbody, Ceramicist
